From the Los Angeles streets come the unique blending of punk rock, heavy metal, hip hop, and hard rock into the new independent music phenomenon, The Chimpz. With tracks on the new FX Network television show Sons of Anarchy, Bam Magera‘s MTV Networks tv shows and films, and usage in the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) industry, The Chimpz have become the entertainment industry’s go to artists for bad ass music. The Chimpz’ hit first album Home Invasion is now being followed up by their new EP entitled Who Can I Trust, and its Mr. 44 track is already taking over national radio stations.

The Chimpz are Artimus Prime (vox/guitar), Chuck Preston (vox), Scary Cary (guitar), Sonic Shawn Lyon (bass), and Sean Topham (drums), and each brings well-honed talent and seasoned industry experience to the band. Having learned independently with the very best rock, metal and rap music has to offer, The Chimpz have welded their talents to produce a fusion of driving rock and rap sounds fit for the moshpit and trials of life, providing a relevant new outlet and expression for the anger of the oppressed. Currently on tour, The Chimpz have played with Adema, Josh Todd, Silent Civilian, Prom Kings, and LA Guns at such venues as the SXSW Music Festival. The new video for “Mr. 44″ was just released and The Chimpz are currently touring.
