Brian O’Halloran

Brian O’Halloran is an American actor perhaps best known for his starring roles as “Dante Hicks” in Kevin Smith‘s debut film Clerks and its 2006 sequel, Clerks II. He has also appeared in most of Smith’s films, either as character Dante Hicks or one of Dante’s cousins.

In 2000 Brian O’Halloran starred in the daring film Vulgar, in a role especially written for him. In Vulgar, Brian O’Halloran plays a children’s birthday party clown who tries to piece his life back together after being gang-raped. Vulgar was written and directed by Bryan Johnson and produced by Kevin Smith.

Brian O’Halloran is also an accomplished theatre actor, working with the Boomerang Theatre Company, the New Jersey Repertory Company and the Tri-State Actors Theatre, among others. Brian O’Halloran’s current film projects include Flea, Cry for Revenge, and Keeper of the Pinstripes, all in various stages of production.
